Signal Hill Garden & Blackhead Point Tower

The harbour views from the top of this knoll are sadly much reduced since the building of Victoria Dockside, but it's still just about worth the sweaty climb to see the handsome Edwardian-style signal tower (1907). From this vantage point, a copper ball was dropped at 1pm daily so seafarers could adjust their chronometers.

Enter the garden from Minden Row (Mody Rd).
