Guangzhou Restaurant

Guangzhou

The grand master of dim sum, this is reckoned to be Guangzhou's oldest restaurant, still churning out bamboo steamers of deliciousness the traditional way, but without the trolleys. There's no English dim sum menu, but the classics are pictured. Note that dim sum is only served at breakfast and lunch; evenings are reserved for banquet-style Cantonese fare, which can be underwhelming.

If you want to bag a table by the beautiful inner garden, you'll need to arrive by 8.30am.
