Dōngān Fàndiàn

Gansu

This rather old-school hotel only opened in 2003 but already possesses a seasoned, throwback air, which is actually good news. Service is friendly, though English skills are very limited, while rooms are spacious and comfortable, decorated with traditional brown furniture and priced low. Find the hotel a short walk east of the train station. The downside is you have to pay for towels (¥15).
