Directly across from the bus station on the far side of a small park is this very good and rather smart Sichuan restaurant. Reach for the 'cookery book' (which the restaurant calls its menu) and sample the spicy shuǐzhǔ niúròu (水煮牛肉, sliced beef in hot chilli oil; ¥58), yúxiāng qiézi (鱼香茄子, fish-flavoured aubergine; ¥22) or mápō dòufu (麻婆豆腐, spicy-hot bean curd; ¥20)
