Qianmen Hostel

A five-minute trot southwest of Tian'anmen Sq, this heritage hostel with an old-fashioned inner courtyard has done away with its dorms and is now all private rooms. Beds are stiff and walls are paper-thin, but it'll do at a push. Limited English spoken, and sees few foreign travellers.
