La Barberie

Québec City

This cooperative St-Roch microbrewery, in place since 1997, is beloved for its spacious tree-shaded deck and its ever-evolving selection of some 30 home brews. Seasonal offerings range from classic pale ales to quirkier options such as hot pepper amber or a range of sour beers. Undecided? Sample 'em all in the popular eight-beer carousel ($19.75).

Blotters include tapas-size saucisson sec (dried-cured sausage), cheese and jerky ($3 to $4.50).
