One of the city’s success stories, Simons was started as a dry-goods store in the 1800s by the son of a Scottish immigrant. By 1952 his descendants had turned the business into a successful clothing store. It’s popular all over Québec for stocking items more cutting-edge than those at competing department stores. There’s been a Simons at this location since 1840.

Don't miss the fabulous coupole de Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, a mosaic-tile cupola of Italian glass discovered by owner Peter Simons at a flea market in Paris and installed just inside the store's main entrance to commemorate Simons' 165th anniversary in 2005.
