Conti

Québec City

Set on busy Rue St-Louis, this handsome eatery features an enticing mixture of Italian and Mediterranean flavors. Start off with prosciutto-wrapped shrimp or Cognac-infused lobster bisque, then move on to duck confit risotto or the classic Milanese-style osso buco. The dining room is a warmly lit retreat, with exposed-brick walls trimmed with art and big windows overlooking the street.

The lunchtime table d’hôte ($15 to $23 for soup or juice, main dish, coffee and dessert) is one of Old Québec’s best deals. It's $40 at dinnertime.
