Hôtel Clarendon

Québec City

Opening to great fanfare in 1870, the four-star Hôtel Clarendon has continued to set standards in Québec City for a century and a half. Half of the 143 rooms look to its main competitor, the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, the other to a quiet courtyard. Interesting features include an old piano in the library that attracts musicians – talented or otherwise.

This hotel suffered a bad fire in January 2019 though it should be open again by the time you read this.
