Prince of Wales Hotel

Niagara Peninsula

Prince of N-o-t-L, an elegant Victorian hotel, was knocked into shape around 1864 and retains much of its period primp: vaulted ceilings, timber-inlay floors and red-waistcoated bellhops. Frills and floral prints seem angled toward the elderly and honeymooners, but it's the perfect spot for anyone looking to splash out in a colonial British sort of way.

Also on-site are a spa, afternoon tea and its elegant restaurant, Noble. A resort fee of $15 is tacked onto the daily bill.
