Cape Breton Highlands National Park Campgrounds

Cape Breton Island

The park operates six campgrounds; from west to east, they are: Chéticamp, Corney Brook, MacIntosh Brook, Big Intervale, Broad Cove and Ingonish Beach. You can reserve online or at park visitor centers (essential in summer). The largest campgrounds are at Chéticamp and Broad Cove, with 122 and 202 sites, respectively; smaller campgrounds away from the main entrances are usually quieter.

Chéticamp, Ingonish and Broad Cove all have ready-pitched cabin-tents called oTENTiks, which are very handy if you don't have gear. Discounts are available for stays of seven nights or more.

There's also one backcountry campground at Fishing Cove; with just eight sites, booking is mandatory here.
