Le Filet

Montréal

Le Filet presents masterfully crafted fish and seafood with Japanese touches in a low-lit setting facing Parc Jeanne-Mance. Small plates are meant for sharing (two people typically order four to five dishes) and mains showcase risotto, spaghetti and duck with maple syrup. The grilled octopus with Israeli couscous will make you wish there were more than just eight legs.

The menu is market-based and changes often, but other favorites include the miso-gratin oysters, crab risotto and cavatelli with veal cheeks. Reserve well in advance.
