HI Mosquito Creek Wilderness Hostel

Jasper National Park

Tucked away under the trees beside a rushing creek, this charming 34-bed backcountry hostel was originally built to house German POWs during WWII. There’s a rustic wood-fired sauna, a stove-lit lounge and a pocket-sized (propane-powered) kitchen where you can cook up communal grub. Two 12-bed dorms are supplemented by two private rooms sleeping up to five. No showers or electricity.
