A short stroll westward along the seawall from the Granville Island entrance, this almost-too-popular seafood stand is one of the city's fave fish-and-chip joints, offering halibut, salmon and cod encased in crispy golden batter. The smashing fish tacos are also recommended, while changing daily specials – brought in by the nearby fishing boats – often include scallop burgers or ahi tuna sandwiches.
Expect long queues and sometimes oppressive waits in summer; arrive as off-peak as you can. The seating area has been expanded from its original limited selection, but it's still best to continue along the seawall to Vanier Park for a sunset picnic alongside the ever-watchful seagulls.
