An elegant-but-casual resto-bar with some serious foodie chops, this elongated lounge-like room (think monochrome decor and brushed concrete floors) is the setting for superbly prepared dishes, from bison tartare to succulent grilled octopus to housemade ice-cream. Add a top-notch cocktail plus a bottle from the excellent wine list (BC tipples included). Reservations recommended.
On summer evenings, the large front window is opened and you'll feel as if you're hanging out on a chic, almost European side street. Until it rains, of course. This is also a good spot to dine before hitting a show at Bard on the Beach, a five-minute stroll away in Vanier Park.
