Samesun Backpackers Lodge

Vancouver

Vancouver's liveliest hostel is right on the city's nightlife strip. Ask for a back room if you fancy a few hours of sleep or head down to the on-site bar (provocatively called the Beaver) to hang out with the partying throng. Dorms, including some pod beds, are comfortably small, and there are also private rooms plus a large shared kitchen.

Continental breakfast is included. This sociable hostel offers daily events and activities (including tours) as well as a large common room for hanging out with your next best friend from halfway around the world. The downstairs bar is also a good spot to catch a game, along with a few beer specials.
