This small but nature-packed provincial park was given fresh impetus for visitors with the building of a new centerpiece, a 60m-long suspension bridge over the Campbell River just east of the gushing torrent of Elk Falls. The green pocket is barely 5km from the city center and well endowed with trails, a campground and a salmon hatchery. The suspension bridge was conceived and partially funded by Campbell River’s proactive Rotary Club.
