Johnston Canyon Lodge & Bungalows

Banff National Park

Built in the late 1920s to accompany the nearby teahouse (now a restaurant), the 42 log cabins at this family-owned resort trade heavily on their proximity to Johnston Canyon. Despite their heritage appearance (complete with porch and smoking chimneys), the interior decor wouldn’t look out of place in a modern motel.

Bear in mind that the canyon is a major tour-bus stop, though things settle down at night.
