Arena di Serdica

Sofia

Rooms in this modern five-star hotel are plush but big and understated. The location is central, within easy walking distance of most sites, but on a quiet side street. The name comes from the remains of a 4th-century Roman amphitheatre that were uncovered during construction and are now preserved below the foyer. There’s also a 'Roman-style' spa.

Visitors are welcome to gaze over the remains of the Roman amphitheatre inside the hotel (free, and open from 10am to 4pm).
