This four-day-a-week outdoor market is not only great for produce, cheese and other artisan foodstuffs, but for one of Brazil's great street food combos: a piping hot, fried-in-the-moment pastel (stuffed pastry) chased with fresh-pressed caldo de cana (sugar cane juice).
