If you've dreamt of staying in a wooden shack inches from the ocean, 'Turtle Paradise' is your place. The seven rooms and apartments are rustic but clean and pleasant, and four have decks almost on top of the waves. While it's just a short walk from town, here there is nothing but nature.
The pousada is 200m along the shore from the east end of the main beach; at times it can involve scrambling over rocks – take care when the tide's up. If you're coming with bags, it's easier to access it from the marked path leading from the Praia do Amor carpark.
