This lodge at Novo Airão's northern end is a real stunner. Everything here is architecturally striking, from its tree-house rooms to those that resemble the upturned hulls of local fishing boats, which maximize natural airflow. Rooms are large and supremely comfortable; tree-house rooms are the smallest, but have the best Rio Negro views. There's an outstanding open-sided restaurant by the water.
Everything here is built from sustainable local wood, and there's an observation tower and riverside games room. A planned expansion will only bring the number of rooms to ten, ensuring that the sense of personal service remains.
Their in-house tour operator, Expedição Katerre, is similarly excellent, and all-inclusive packages are possible.
