Lagoa da Conceição's former Food Truck Parking Lot got a swift makeover in 2018 by local craft beer empire Layback Beer with Brazilian skateboarding legend Pedro Barros providing a bit of the monetary might. Nine shipping containers house a pizzeria, burger joint, Back Joy Coffee and Layback Tap and Cheese (craft beer and gamey bar snacks).

Layback fosters a rock-and-roll/skate-punk atmosphere, sells branded tube socks and brews solid, hop-forward beers, sometimes experimenting with Brazil's first planted hops, which are growing in Santa Catarina's Serra Geral.
