Vila Ecológica sits colorfully but most ordinarily on a hill behind Casa do Turista. You wouldn't look twice. But closer inspection reveals Cambará's great-value hospitality option. Rooms are equipped with heaters/air-con and cable TV and were constructed from ecologically savvy materials. Eco-touches abound – like old tennis shoes as planters – and friendly, English-speaking Erica handles everything.
There's a small and tasty restaurant for guests only (mains R$16 to R$32), which even serves craft beer.
