Captain Don’s Habitat

Bonaire

Captain Don's Habitat is set on lushly landscaped grounds 3km north of town, with 85 units surrounding a large swimming pool. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, without too many frills. Always at the forefront of environmental technologies, the place uses solar water heaters and a state-of-the-art water-treatment system. The on-site restaurant, Rum Runners, is an obligatory stop.

Captain Don will go down in the Bonaire history books, as he was instrumental in setting up the island's infrastructure for shore diving, personally marking and naming most of the sites so that they would be accessible to all.
