Hotel Tara Phendeyling

A bit removed from the centre, south of town, this modern hotel has a gleaming marble lobby and spacious rooms with rather old-fashioned decor but thick mattresses and big windows letting in lots of light. There's a spa and a restaurant that's more inviting than most.
