Tom Moore's Tavern

Top choice in Bermuda

If you have just one meal in Bermuda, make it this. The opulent interior of this restored 17th-century homestead is a fine setting for a memorable dining experience. The dishes – roast quail with fig stuffing, arborio-rice-crusted calamari – are imaginative and beautifully executed, the wine list is exceptional and the service seamless. Dress code is casual elegant; reservations essential.

The tavern is named after a 19th-century Irishman, Thomas Moore, who briefly lived here in 1804. But if his poetry was mediocre, the cuisine here is stellar, as attested to by global politicians and royalty.
