The eight guest rooms spread over a number of two-story wooden cabañas are simple but spotless, and cramped but comfortable. Not exactly luxurious, they nonetheless include a few perks you would not expect, such as a private veranda complete with hammock, lightning-quick wi-fi and reading material.
There is a communal kitchen on the premises, and the main town beach is right across the street, where Mara also runs the Sip & Dip – the most popular place for waterside socializing among islanders and Belizean visitors.
