Boasting one of the widest stretches of beach south of town and two pools, this well-run resort is good value especially for families, who'll love the El Diablo Aqua Park. It's got a giant slide into the sea, a 300ft zip-line to the beach and a couple of trampolines. The new sushi restaurant on the property is also recommended.
Rooms are simple but comfortable; go for one in the original concrete buildings – they have sea views and get more light than those in the new wooden structure. The suites are a particularly good deal with some holding up to six guests.
