Bird's Isle Restaurant

Top choice in Belize City

Bird's Isle may be the best that Belize City has to offer. An island oasis at the southern tip of town, it manages to defy the urban grit that lies just a few blocks away. Locals and tourists alike flock to the palapa (open-air shelter with a thatched roof) to partake of sea breezes, fresh-squeezed juice and cold beers.

It has fine views at sunset, but unfortunately at dusk it is engulfed by bloodthirsty mosquitoes – come early or late.
