Corto Malté

Wallonia

On the right bank of the Escaut, Corto Malté has a lovely tree-shaded terrace overlooking the river, with locals tucking into delicious tapas plates, creatively topped tartines and fresh salads. Among the temptations: tortilla (Spanish-style omelette), shrimp with garlic, and Maghreb salad with chickpeas and peppers, perhaps accompanied by a smoked trout and fresh goat's-cheese tartine.

Excellent cocktails, a good wine selection and a generally festive crowd add to the good cheer.
