Ramada Plaza

Liège

It's easy to think that this six-storey business hotel is unremarkable when seen from the riverfront. However, the service is professional service, rooms have been updated, and the bar and restaurant incorporate remnant brick-vaulted sections of a 17th-century convent that formerly occupied the site.

Low-occupancy deals can be excellent, with €110 packages that include breakfast, parking, free drink and even some chocolates. Note that the hotel faces the river across a multilane boulevard, so ask for a rear room if traffic noise bothers you. The car park costs €12.50, but there's also limited street parking out front.
