Opéra Royal de Wallonie

Liège

One of Liège's most prominent central buildings, the opera house contains a breathtaking, multilevelled classical-style auditorium.

Outside, the east facade retains a huge column-and-pediment frontage from its original 1820 incarnation. Before then this area of town had been an island – what is now Blvd de la Sauvenière was built over a former oxbow loop in the River Meuse.
