La Maison/L'Espion

The Ardennes

Combining two distinguished town houses dating from around 1801, this family-run hotel on Stavelot’s main square retains antique floorboards, staircases and a particularly lavish, chandelier-lit breakfast room. Much of the period furniture is original, the art less so. Some rooms have rather dated bathroms.

There's a good restaurant (dinner only), a pleasant bar and a rear-yard terrace with plenty of seating.
