Hôtel St James

Wallonia

This refined 18th-century brick-and-stone house has had a trendy two-tone makeover. Behind the main building, via a handkerchief of garden, a newer, equally fashionable rear section has less road noise. The bright, sunny rooms are elegantly designed with a colour scheme in blacks, whites and charcoals, and most are quite large.

It’s just across the ring-boulevard, 10 minutes’ walk east of the Grand Place: follow Rue d’Havré, then cross the big junction.
