For years, great pub food has draw diners to what was – until more recently – a traditional low-key café…so much so that these days the place essentially operates as a restaurant, though the old beer-sign-and-bottle look hasn't changed.
The menu includes stoofvlees (Flemish stew), pastas, wok dishes, vol-au-vents, fish dishes and their speciality steppengrass – a steak topped by a nest-like mesh of thin-fried potatoes.
Roman Pils plus a range of Ename abbey beers are available on tap.
