Ghent

Sleep on a reed-sprouting ‘recycled’ barge with a small open-top conversation deck. The boat's canal-side moorings are 600m northwest of Oude Begijnhof. Otherwise, from tram 1 stop Witte Kaproenenplein walk two minutes south between the seven-storey apartment blocks on Alois Joosstraat. It’s not in the most scenic part of the city. Organic breakfast included.
