Fiskebar

Antwerp

For years, locals have sworn that this bustling, fashionably dishevelled former fishmongers’ shop serves the best seafood in town. Finally the owners are responding to the ever-clamouring demand by enlarging the restaurant.

Once the extension is complete, a new menu with more sharing-plate options is anticipated, though the classics will remain, including the house bouillabaisse, the semi-baked organic salmon with ratatouille, and the beetroot-scallop starters. Water (fizzy or still) costs €2.50 per person including refills.
