Brouwerij Cafe de Seefhoek

Antwerp

Antwerp's new kid on the beer block is reincarnated Seef. To taste their full range of offerings (beers €3 to €3.50) head directly to their fashionably dishevelled brewery cafe where you can sit amid the Inox brew vessels or outside on an unsophisticated mass of orange plastic chairs at the rough benches that spill onto the post-industrial courtyard.

Top picks include dry-hopped Super Cadix and the softly malted Nonkel Pater, described a 'quad-dubbel' because it's dark and easy drinking like an abbey dubbel but with the devastatingly sneaky 9% hit of a quadrupel. If you're still standing, there's a crisp blonde-tripel to try – it's called 'Crowdfunder' in honour of those who made the brewery possible in the first place.
