Bocadero

Antwerp

Amid the cranes of the old harbour area, Bocadero is an area of sand and deckchairs backed by a series of bars and food stands (no cover charge; beer from €3.30).

The result is a friendly spot that especially attracts a youthful crowd at weekends at around midnight for drinks and perhaps an early dance before heading on to a cluster of more pretentious, later-night clubs some 300m further north.
