De Witte Lelie

Antwerp

Behind the facade of connected 16th-century mansions, this highly distinctive design hotel wraps itself around a courtyard garden, offering 10 guest rooms that are startling artistic statements, often making all-out assaults on the senses with intense colours, screaming patterns and lots of sheen.

At the time of research the impressive public areas were dominated by a Vladimir Kagan composite sofa that's a 3D work of semi-abstract art.
