Gasthof 1618

Northeast Belgium

At the northeast corner of the begijnhof, this antique-styled hostelry has a manorial charm with a central barbecue hearth and a lovely rear terrace area, with trees reducing the noise of passing cars.

There's a wide menu beyond the steak mainstays but on Wednesday evenings the only choices are fajitas or spare ribs, both as all-you-can-eat deals (€25). Drinks and snacks are also possible.
