Poor old Graeme Hall Nature sanctuary lurches from one crisis to another. While most of the wetlands have long been closed to visitors, the sewage crisis in Worthing, which saw waste waters diverted through the swamps, led to the lovely little cafe overlooking the mangroves to also close up shop. It should reopen again so call ahead to find out.
Once it's running, the food and fine coffee alone are reason enough to stop. Excellent sandwiches, pastas dishes and baked goods are served all day. Patrons are free to explore the garden area around the cafe.
