Home to the Martin's Bay fish fry, the east coast's more tranquil answer to Oistins, the Bay Tavern has lost a lot of its charm since being redeveloped from a simple shack into a three-floor modern structure, but is still a good place to dig into plates of fresh-from-the-boat marlin or snapper and macaroni pie.
Take it to go and cross the road to one of the picnic tables on the water's edge for the old-school experience. The 'big' day is Thursday, but they cook all week so come on another day – the food is better and the nature is louder.
