Qafqaz Thermal Resort

Azerbaijan

This gently luxurious, middle-of-nowhere spa hotel is one of Azerbaijan's great getaway bargains, provided you don't mind driving 17km from Qәbәlә. Rooms are indulgent, there's a huge indoor swimming pool, a good-value restaurant and it's one of the few places in the world that offers Naftalan Oil Baths to casual visitors... so long as you pass the medical exam first.

The complex is set behind an ornamental lake in vast manicured grounds with distant mountain panoramas, around 1km north of the quaintly archetypal village of Yengicə.
