Azerbaijan

The high-quality, all-wooden cottages of this boutique resort constitute the most comfortable accommodation option on the Quba–Xınalıq road, with a particularly superb setting in the cliff-backed village of Qrız Dəhnə (not Qrız).

Set well away from the cottages, their restaurant is immensely popular with small tour groups. It has summer tables balanced across a trickling stream that runs off a waterfall pool. The winter dining hall has a certain woodland-baronial feel.
