About Rana
I’m a travel and documentary photographer based in Kolkata, with a deep interest in adventure travel, exploring uncharted destinations, and connecting with local communities and their cultures. Over the years, I’ve photographed and documented some of the most remote and complex regions of India, including the border villages along the India-Pakistan line in Kashmir and the lives of indigenous hunting tribes in Arunachal Pradesh.
My work often involves immersive, long-form storytelling, and I approach travel as a way to uncover narratives that go beyond the obvious. When i am not chasing my next photo story, I am most probably playing football somewhere.
