About Benedict

Travelling as a teen taught me how to reach people. To connect. Today, travel gives me purpose and meaning. When COVID clipped my wings, I dropped off the radar and dove down the rabbit hole of photos, videos and memories of more than two decades on the road, which reminded me how easy it is to get lost without good guides! I still bang on about the importance of trusting one's instinct, but the pandemic taught me that without good information behind it, even the strongest intuition struggles to compete against the noise.

Ejected from the rabbit hole by more unexpected plot twists, but with a healthy intuition on board, a kid's book and an art exhibition on the way, I find myself back where I belong: catching trains, planes and on the road in celebration of our amazing planet.

I've added 'being creative' and 'being in nature' to 'trusting self' and 'TRAVEL!' as my "must-haves for a happy life", picking up the dream I'd parked of calling four fabulous, but far-flung corners of the earth, home: Australia, Japan, Canada, and Germany. Can it be done?

Computer says: "YES!"
