Each of the 39 open-plan, minimalist-chic rooms at this boutique hotel is dedicated to an Austrian winemaker and the minibars are stocked with premium wines from the growers themselves. With clever backlighting, rooms reveal a razor-sharp eye for design, especially the opalescent ones with hybrid beds and bathtubs. Some rooms overlook the inner courtyard space.
The hotel offers wine tastings in its chandelier-lit bar, and excursions to Austria’s nearby wine-growing regions. Wine is also a theme at breakfast (guests/nonguests €18/24), with wine-based cheese, preserves and cakes alongside an array of muesli, fruit, fish and cold cuts.
