It's all about the beans at this small, whitewashed cafe-shop. Its small-batch speciality coffee is roasted in Burgenland to bring out the individual aromas of fair-trade beans sourced from Sumatra, India, Ethiopia, Ecuador, Brazil and Nicaragua. A Dalla Corte Evolution – the crème de la crème of espresso makers – and two Fiorenzato F64 Evo grinders ensure each cup is expertly made.
Owner Tobias Radinger likes to let the quality of the coffee speak for itself – whether it’s with a single-origin, organic Robusta from Kerala that is bitter dark and lightly creamy, or a Sumatran Arabica that is full bodied, spicy and chocolaty. Organic Austrian milk and non-dairy alternatives are available, along with fruit juices from Burgenland.
You can stock up on its own-brand coffees and the pro equipment for the job: ceramic slim mills, Hario V60 drip-coffee makers and the like.
